Witty people can pick up loads of followers on social media. But being funny isn’t the only way to be successful.

All the characteristics we like in people are attractive on social media. Other qualities of: empathy, vulnerability, self-awareness, kindness …

As Gary Vaynerchuk says about the inherent humanity of people connecting on the internet: “we’re so close, we’re only a screen away.”

It may be technology we’re on here, but it’s the humanity that makes it powerful.

It’s called social media. Social is about that humanity. Media is the technology. But social comes first.
